Good news for Canadian UAV hobbyists!  It looks like Transport Canada has exempted all UAV’s under 2kg (about 4 1/2 lbs) and certain operations for ones under 25kg (about 55lbs) from requiring a Special Flight Operations Certificate.   Hopefully the FAA will follow a similar suit and exempt commercial use for similar UAVs.
